The full story

Behind the success.

Rajpurohit Ashok Kumar's path through the Market Rush evaluation, including discipline, process, and the lessons that shaped the result.

01

The journey

I started trading with small capital and focused more on learning risk management than chasing big profits. In the beginning, I made common mistakes like overtrading, emotional entries, and holding losers too long. Over time, I built discipline by following a proper plan, using strict stop-losses, and tracking every trade. Passing my first Market Rush evaluation felt like a huge milestone. It was not just about payout eligibility, but proof that I could follow rules, control emotions, and trade consistently under pressure.

02

Why Market Rush

I chose Market Rush because it is not a Forex-based funded account, which was a major advantage for me. There is no involvement of dollars, offshore entities, or foreign complications, so it feels more stable and straightforward than many international prop firms. Another major reason was trust. Market Rush is an Indian registered Private Limited company and GST registered, which adds transparency. The rules are clearly defined, pricing is reasonable, and the payout structure feels simple and easy to understand.

03

Hardest part of the evaluation

Maintaining discipline and controlling psychology during drawdowns and missed opportunities.

04

What made the difference

Trade only when there is a trade, not when you want to make a trade.

05

Evaluation approach

Before the market opens, I complete my analysis and mark key liquidity zones along with support and resistance levels. Once the market starts, I avoid using too many indicators and mainly rely on 9 EMA, Fibonacci, candlestick reading, price action, and liquidity movements. I focus only on high-probability setups.

06

When they choose to stay inactive

I avoid trading when the market opening and conditions do not support a clear setup from my plan.

07

How they handle losses

My rule is to take only one main trade. If that trade fails, I may take up to two trades in total, with the objective of recovering the loss without going deeper into drawdown. If losses persist beyond 4%, I stop for the day. I then journal the trade, review my mistakes after relaxing, and study what I missed.

Participant wisdom

Lessons from the evaluation.

Practical reflections from the participant on discipline, mistakes, and the habits that matter in a rules-based evaluation.

Message for aspiring funded account participants

Focus on discipline and risk management, not the profit target. Trade small, follow the rules strictly, avoid overtrading, and be patient. Most people fail because of emotions and revenge trading, not because their strategy is bad.

Mistakes to avoid

Stop overtrading and taking random trades out of impatience.

Final word

Trade only when there is a trade, not when you want to make a trade.
