Read the result alongside its path

A final profit or loss does not describe everything that happened while a position was open. Trade-level analysis helps you explore holding periods, observed price movement and how much a trade moved against or in favour of your position.

Win rate, expectancy and payoff offer complementary views of performance. Reading them together with drawdowns and trading patterns gives a fuller historical picture than relying on one headline number.

Review a strategy as well as its legs

An option leg can be reviewed individually. When you confirm a valid multi-leg strategy, the combined analysis follows the strategy’s observed P&L while respecting when its legs entered and exited. Combined strategy excursions are not simply the sum of unrelated leg extremes.

Save analysis results to return to the same historical review. Missing prices, unresolved trades or incomplete strategy groups can limit which metrics are available; an incomplete result should not be read as a full account of every market movement.
